A Fertile Mind in Neuroscience

Long before Hollywood produced the movie “Concussion” Rob Lowry M.D. was ringside, on the field, and in-clinic evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating patients, suffering the effects of Concussion, Whiplash, Traumatic Brain Injury & Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Graduating in 83′ with honors in Science, Rob Lowry, next received his M.S. in Anatomy and Neurosciences, co-authoring “Brain Games” and an interactive Neuroanatomy curriculum for the Computer Medicine and Anatomy departments of George Washington Medical School.

Earning his M.D. in 93′, Dr. Lowry pursued his studies in Physiatry and received a diplomat in Pain Medicine. Continuing on he became accredited as a USA Boxing and Golden Gloves Physician and, an official TDL licensed, Ringside Physician.

Then, began a 25-year journey researching, discovering, evaluating, and successfully treating Concussion, Whiplash, and Traumatic Brain Injury. While starting in Boxing and sports injuries, Dr. Lowry broadened his scope of practice to include Work, Occupational, Vehicular and Personal Injury related to Concussion, Whiplash, Traumatic Brain Injury & Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Now, 25 years later, the same passion which led young Rob Lowry to pursue Neuroscience is responsible for his founding, The Concussion Recovery Centre: South Texas’ 1st and only multi-disciplinary outpatient clinic dedicated to the Diagnosis and Treatment of Concussion, Whiplash, Traumatic Brain Injury & Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
